Where our mission began

In 1995, our founder Jeremy traveled to London for a family visit.He had come simply as a brother — to meet his newborn niece Florence, who had just been born with Down syndrome. In those first days, he saw something powerful: care, tenderness, and the kind of support every family deserves at the very beginning. But when he returned home, one thought stayed with him: “What happens to children with Down syndrome in places where that support doesn’t exist?” Jeremy began looking for the answer. What he found was difficult to ignore — children growing up in systems with very limited resources, very little specialized help, and very few opportunities to develop, communicate, and thrive. That was the moment he understood: this wasn’t just a personal family story. It was the beginning of a much bigger responsibility. Some missions begin the moment you realize something essential is missing. Today, a mission that began with one family is helping thousands. Because every child deserves the opportunity to grow and to be understood. And every family deserves the right to support.
